Biography:

Bryan Jones and Cooper Pierce lead the Jones Pierce Architects team out of Atlanta, Georgia. As a company that highlights the importance of communication, JPA uses a 10-step principled approach that they call Creativity that Works to implement their projects as smoothly and efficiently as possible. By following these principles, clients of Jones Pierce can be assured that important decisions are made in the right order—with no backtracking or costly surprises. The following are the 10 principles followed by Jones Pierce Architects to create consistently good new or renovation architecture and to make the process for their clients as stress-free and enjoyable as possible:

  1. Listening—listen first then design.
  2. Viability—determine the project’s success on paper before getting in too deep with design.
  3. Design Consciousness—create building that stand out while fitting in.
  4. Plan to anticipate change—we believe buildings can effect change and change is good.
  5. Project Stewardship—design like you own it.
  6. Teamwork—custom projects are a team sport if you have the right team.
  7. Reality Check—agree to reality while you can adjust the design.
  8. The need for speed—respect the milestones to fast track construction.
  9. Information Sharing—include all members of the team in the design process.
  10. Enjoying the journey—this could be fun.

Jones Pierce is a team of 10 architects who specialize in a wide range of experience in residential live, commercial connect and historic preservation & adaptive re-use mix projects. The firm has been organized around these three design studios which target each project type—each project team is supported by appropriate staff resources to ensure that the best team is assigned to the right client.

Creative Approach to Design:

Through its Residential Studio, JPA designers work closely with their clients to create a living space where residents can create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it be a new home, vacation home, or renovation, JPA delivers a lasting property that supports any lifestyle. Which is why Kennebec has chosen to include them on their preferred architects list—because they know how to deliver and construct. Jones Pierce has done a number of projects in familiar areas such as a seasonal golf home and a mountain home in Highlands, N.C., a compact lake home that sleeps 18 in a small foot print in Duluth, G.A., a Florida Panhandle retreat home in Carillon Beach, F.L., in addition to many others. The best part of working with JPA is their flexibility when it comes to presenting you something both traditional and sustainable. Their success can be attributed to the amount of awards they have received such as the City of Atlanta Urban Design commission award of excellence five times, most recently in 2017.
