Welcome to our Architect Spotlight series, where we will be periodically featuring each of Kennebec’s preferred architects and showcasing some of their past projects. Today we are highlighting North Carolina based architect, Pursley Dixon.

Biography:

Pursley Dixon Architecture (PDA) is an architecture and interior design firm located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded in 2005, Auburn University alum Ken Pursley founded his own firm, Pursley Architecture. Then, in 2012, he decided to team up with friend and fellow Auburn alumus Craig Dixon, making their firm officially Pursley Dixon architecture. Together, they have assembled a team of thirteen extremely qualified members who take great pride in their ability to, not only design the exterior of a home, but the interior, as well. The firm has been recognized from coast to coast, as well as being featured in magazines such as Traditional Home, Southern Living,Southern Accents, Décor Magazine and Luxe Interiors + Design. They were awarded the Veranda/ADAC award in 2014 for architecture firm of the year and the Southern Living Home of the Year award in 2015.

Creative Approach to Design:

Pursley Dixon Architecture works towards a fresh and forward approach to design while remaining both modernistic and classic. As a team they believe that the single, most important thing to remember when taking on a new project is simply that beauty matters. Their achievements and awards speak for them self, but something that sets PDA aside from all of the other architecture firms is that they really want the home to be representative of the families who will occupy them. By specializing in custom residential work, PDA has many clients in suburban areas, who have nothing but kind things to say about working with them—the most frequent compliment given is that they are extremely talented and client focused, but it is their attention to detail is, by far, the most admirable trait of working with PDA.
